Sunday morning meetings begin at 10.30am and stop for refreshments at around 12 noon. We meet at Deans Building, Lincoln College. There is plenty of free parking across Monks Road in the college car park. We also arrange lifts for those who need transport. Sunday lunches are occasionally provided for visitors and students.
What can visitors expect most Sundays?
A Friendly Welcome – We are a community of friends and love to welcome new people!
Songs to God – We spend around half-an-hour in musical worship. During this time, members of the church often bring spontaneous contributions to encourage us and honour God. These could be songs, prayers, bible readings, prophecy and other gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Bible Teaching – After a short break for notices, and to welcome each other, the main teaching message is brought which is based in the Bible. This lasts about 30 mins.
Responding to God – There is often opportunity to make a response including beginning a relationship with God and prayer for healing.
Lord’s Supper – We break bread and share wine together at least once a month to celebrate what Jesus has achieved. All Christians are welcome to take part. Occasionally we do this in midweek settings.
Refreshments – We tend to socialise over drinks and biscuits most Sundays. Watch out for Big Breakfast Sundays where we start at 10am for a special whole-church breakfast together. Visitors welcome, too!
What about Children? – For the very young, there is a self-service crèche area with toys and dvd player. For 2-11 year olds, we run children’s activities in another seminar space.
