We hold fully to the historical summaries of Christian faith. These are the Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed.
We are affiliated to the Evangelical Alliance and share their statement of faith.
For more theologically minded Christians, these key-words help define our beliefs:
Trinitarian – we believe in One God revealed to us in the persons of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Evangelical – trusting the bible to be the reliable and infallible revelation of God’s word to all people for all time. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and doctrine.
Reformed – this means trusting God to be Sovereign in everything. In particular He is the source of our salvation, taking the initiative and guaranteeing the outcome. So, we cannot earn His favour or forgiveness. We must rely instead on God’s mercy and grace, freely given to us in Jesus Christ.
Charismatic – expecting the church to be built and encouraged with all the gifts of the Holy Spirit and leadership ministries of Jesus Christ.
